Faculty of Skills wins 3 Learning Technologies Awards

Geschreven door Faculty of Skills | December 03, 2019

Faculty of Skills has been awarded three times at the prestigious Learning Technologies Awards. The training agency from Utrecht won two gold awards for projects with Zilveren Kruis and Aon, as well as a silver award. The Learning Technologies Awards are granted to the best, most innovative and successful projects and organizations in learning and development.

The jury has rewarded the following projects with an award:

Gold - Best learning technologies project: Aon

LT 636

A training course was developed for insurer Aon to improve the sales skills of telephone advisors. These employees were already experts in providing good customer service over the phone, but sometimes missed out on sales opportunities. By using online role-plays in TrainTool, consultants improved their sales skills. Team leaders learned how to coach their team members and gave feedback on the results in TrainTool. The program was a great success, both in the assessment of the participants and in the sales results.

From the jury report:

"An impressive project which was well researched, designed and implemented and has delivered sustainable behaviour change and an increase in sales against a backdrop of recent acquisition. An appropriate technology mix enables a personalised learning programme which successfully targets and nudges the improvement of individual skills."

Gold - Best use of blended learning: Zilveren Kruis

For health insurer Zilveren Kruis, it is a challenge to efficiently employ hundreds of new call centre staff every year. A new, mainly online, onboarding programme has been developed for this purpose. An important part of this programme is the practice of conversation skills. Participants use the TrainTool software to practice online audio role-playing games. Both the new employees and Zilveren Kruis are very satisfied with the programme: people are trained more quickly and are better prepared for daily practice.

From the jury report:

"The jury likes the excellent level of personalised learning, using peer and mentor support, and the overall sense of 'care' and emotional sensitivity shown through."

Silver - Excellence in the design of learning content: Zilveren Kruis

A second prize for the Zilveren Kruis project falls into the category of Excellence in the design of learning content. TrainTool proved to be the ideal software to quickly and efficiently bring the interviewing skills of hundreds of new employees to the right level. By using TrainTool in combination with the other elements of the onboarding programme, new employees were able to start their first real customer conversations faster and much better prepared.
