TrainTool and the teacher training programme at Utrecht University are developing a tailored online training. Students that are going to do an internship at high school will soon be able to obtain skills online. In this blogpost we will give you a peek into this process.

The development of a tailored online training happens in close cooperation with future participants, executives and content experts from both the client and TrainTool

Content development phases

The development of an online training consists of four phases. How long does the entire process take? Our personal record is 48 hours. On average, it is four to six weeks.

  1. Design: setting goals, a design session, writing scenarios
  2. Production: acting, directing, filming
  3. Post-production: editing, implementing, setting a feedback cycle
  4. User tests

A team from the organisation and experts from TrainTool develop the content of the training during a design session. You can see an impression of the design session at the teacher education programme at Utrecht University in this video.
